At home recycling
- Your yellow wheelie bin is picked up from the kerbside by a recycling truck and taken to our EcoSort facility.
- The truck drops the recycling at the Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), where it is sorted into various product types.
- The sorted plastics, glass, metal, and fibre are sold to recyclers and further processed and made into new products at various locations.
- The new products made from recycled material can be used again and hopefully recycled again.
Garden waste
- Approved garden waste can be taken to your local EcoDrop.
- All garden waste is collected from the EcoDrop facilities and taken to a processing plant.
- The garden waste is mulched, broken down, and processed into compost.
Reusable goods
- Any furniture, recycling, and hazardous waste can be taken to your local EcoDrop for free.
- Furniture, whiteware, and other reusable goods are sent from the EcoDrop to the EcoShop to be given another life.
- Second-hand items that pass the safety and quality test are sent to the EcoShop to be given another life.
Commercial & Rubbish
- We accept some commercial quantities. Be sure to check with us first here.
- Rubbish that is dropped into our pits ends up in the landfill.
