EcoCentral is committed to helping create a sustainable circular economy, to increase public awareness and to minimise waste to landfill. EcoCentral oversees the processing of both residential and commercial refuse and recycling from throughout the Canterbury region.
We are 100% owned by Christchurch City Council which means we are owned by Cantabrians. Day in and day out, we serve the people of Christchurch by processing waste and recycling at our sites. OUR THREE MAIN OPERATIONS
Resource Recovery Centres where people can drop off items for reuse or recycling and household hazardous waste. Also the responsible disposal of rubbish and Greenwaste.
A large semi-automated processing plant for the yellow-bin recycling we collect from the region.
A shop where we sell checked-over reusable goods supplied by our Resource Recovery Centres.
