What we accept at the EcoDrops

If you are unsure whether you can dispose of a particular item, please don’t hesitate to ask or feel free to contact us in advance. Our helpful staff are here to assist you when you arrive. We’d also love any commercial volumes of your reusable goods.

  • Resource Recovery Centres

    Each EcoDrop has a designated area that focuses on waste diversion and recycling.

    The Resource Recovery Centres accept the following for FREE:

    • Reusable goods – furniture, clothing, homeware and kitchenware, sports equipment, tools and garden equipment. More info on our EcoShop page under ‘Curious what you’ll find’.
    • Fridges & Whiteware – stoves, fridges, freezers and dryers.
    • Batteries – power tool, car and household batteries and vapes.
    • Paint.
    • Scrap Metal.
    • Gas Bottles.
    • Heat Pumps & Dehumidifiers.
    • Agrichemicals and Household Hazardous Waste.
    • E-waste – household and kitchen appliances, wires and cables, laptops, cell phones – NO TV’s or computer monitors unless they are in working condition and can be reused (TV’s must have HDMI port).
    • Waste Oils – engine waste oil & cooking oil.
    • Tyres: Each customer can drop off a maximum of 5 tyres for free at a time. Tyres must be clean, off rims and truck size or smaller.
  • Mixed Recycling

    • Drop off any recycling to your local EcoDrop.

ON SITE GUIDELINES

Please make sure you read and understand the following guidelines before you visit our EcoDrops

Under no circumstances are you to enter the pit area


Children and pets are to remain in your vehicle at all times


No riding in trailers/vehicle trays on site


Only park your vehicle in designated areas or where instructed by our staff


Drive only within the guides marked on the road


Obey all speed limit signs in the EcoDrop areas


Heavy vehicles and machinery operate at each site so be vigilant at all times


Take care when placing objects such as glass into recycling bins


Place your product in the correct container and/or location


If you have any questions, please ask one of our staff members for assistance

Stop by your local EcoDrop to dispose of reusables, recyclables, household hazardous waste, green waste, as well as any rubbish you can’t fit in your red bin.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Make your EcoDrop visit easy with these simple tips to help plan ahead

1. Before you load your car or trailer, make sure you are familiar with what we accept


2. In order to unload your car in the appropriate order, ensure that hazardous waste, recyclables, and reusables are easily accessible on top. Rubbish will be accessed last


3. Prior to your arrival, get acquainted with your closest EcoDrop by checking out a map of the site – see here


4. When you arrive, head to the Resource Recovery Centre (RRC) to drop off recycling, anything reusable, and hazardous waste for free before you go over the weighbridge


5. Next, drive over the weighbridge and tell our friendly staff what you are dropping off so you can be charged correctly


6. Drop off your green waste in the green waste area and your general rubbish in the pit


7. Finally, go back over the weighbridge and pay for the amount you dropped off
