From Diesel to Electric: Investing in Lower Emission Operations

At EcoCentral we're excited to have taken delivery of our first fully electric loader. This milestone marks the beginning of a transition from diesel to a fully electric loader fleet for EcoCentral.

Whiteware Recycling: Our Process

The process begins with our specialist degassing team, who carefully remove refrigerants from fridges and freezers. Once the refrigerants are removed, the appliances are broken down so the valuable materials inside can be recovered. By working with our partners and using specialist teams, we make sure these bulky items don’t become a burden on landfill, but instead are part of a smarter, circular system.

Fleet Decarbonisation Plan in Action

As part of our commitment to reducing operational emissions, EcoCentral is moving forward with a targeted plan to decarbonise our fleet. Around 75% of our total greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1 and 2) currently come from vehicles and machinery across our sites. That makes transport a key area of focus as we work towards a lower-carbon, more sustainable operation.
